In 1957, the Burgas Regional Directorate of “Water Supply and Sewerage” was established; over the years, as a result of various transformations, water supply and sewerage services were provided by the Regional Economic Enterprise “ViK” until 1971, and from 1971 to 1989 by the Economic Enterprise “ViK” – Burgas. From 1989 to 1991, “ViK” – Burgas was a partnership, and since 1991 it has been a Single-Member Limited Liability Company (EOOD), with the state as the sole owner of its capital. On July 10, 2001, the company was reorganized into a Single-Member Joint-Stock Company, again with 100% state ownership of the capital and the Ministry of Regional Development as the principal.
